Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. She was born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name can be spelled as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from both music bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis to accompany John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two of the most notable covers the artist has done. Katy Perry shared a tweet where Perry promoted her song Runaway. Make it a day to celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an attic piano and being awed by the sounds it would produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. They encouraged her not to play music only for fun or as a means of growth but rather, she must pursue it. She started writing her own songs. As well as Bjork, she cites Leonard Cohen as an influence. The singer decided to perform the songs she wrote publicly after her mom suggested they can help other people, not be famous with her work but to make the people around them understand their own importance and how they can affect the world. She started playing piano at the age of six, and began creating music when she was nine. They didn't even know until the age of fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. She claims that she loves writing music. For her, music is the best way to feel anything.
