Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories within legal contexts. Professor Goodman is the author of many publications and many awards to her credit, is also the recipient of a variety of international and national awards. She has offered consulting on research and policy to numerous agencies and government departments across the world. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
